Nails Tweed Heads

Nail – that’s how I described it when I had a chance to watch Heather Reynosa Davis ready the nails for the Behnaz Sarafpour fw 2011 show at New York Fashion Week.

Two types of nails were created for the show. The first had a black base with clear tip to mimic the Manolos that were custom made for this collection. The second had a nude base and black tip to mimic the feet in black mesh custom Manolos. Crazy beautiful, these elegant designs were mind-blowing in person.

Side note: I had no idea that shortly after this Fashion Week I’d be getting an interview call on becoming an educator for CND. I eventually made it through to Boot Camp and passed! This Sarafpour show was a special moment because, even though I wasn’t a part of CND at the time, I got a great glimpse of the creativity and love for the craft from the team. I’m happy they shared that with me and I can share that with you.

I understand this nail art is not really like marble nail art in anyway, but is was so random and the look was so creative, I thought I would call it marble nail art inspired!!

This nail design is very easy to make for short nails and for beginners. It is also great for long nails!

This design can be used as a suitable base for other types of nail art too!!

I wanted to try out a nail tapping video, because they’re one of my favorites to watch, and during my Sociology class one day I was tapping on my tea can and I started getting really relaxed, lol.

In this video: Tea can, glass vase, makeup palette, and two books with different types of covers.

10d framing nails, like those shown, are a good size to do the nails trick with. The two larger nails used to get 18 on are size 40d, which is the largest size framing nail I’ve seen. I’m sure other types of rods, etc. could get many more nails on . . . as well as further engineering! See if you can balance more than 27 and make a video response.

There are five types of toenail fungus: Candidal, Proximal Subungual, Distal Subungual, White Superficial, and Total Dystrophic, with the most severe of these being Total Dystrophic, in which case the nail bed is totally destroyed after being subjected to one of the other four types of toenail fungus.

Pet owners what name brand of clippers do you use to trim your dogs toe nails…I have a basset hound he has very thick nails I was told by my vet to use the scissor type clippers, what do you use?

I use the scissor type clippers on my dog. I only shave a bit at a time because he has solid black claws. It works fine for me. If you are not comfortable using those there are other styles. As long as the clippers are big enough for your dog there should be no problem.

Please include the name and brand. I’m curious to know what types of nail polish you guys like! I have lot’s of favorites, but mine would have to be "Pacific Blue" by Sally Hansen Xtreme wear! What about you?
