I’ve had French tips before, but I just want to get my natural nails shaped and painted this time. I’m wondering if it’s even worth it, or will the result be the same as if I were to give myself a manicure.
ive gotten a manicure only once, and it lasted about 2 weeks, which is a week longer than doing it myself.
the lady that gave me a manicure also told me to put on a coat of clear nail polish every few days to keep it from chipping.

I’m doing a science fair project on the effectiveness of sunscreens on photography pictures. And I need a UV light lamp to be able to perform that. Where should I get one (i don’t actually want to pay for that b/c it’s really expensive). Could i borrow one from a community college or nursery? Is it the same source as a nail/beauty shop UV light? THANKS!!!

There are 2, small, light colored drips in living room that are obvious to me. I read the answer for removing red lacquer based nail polish with mineral spirits, but would that also apply to clear hardener type? I assume they are polyurethane finished.
Mix a few drops of a mild dish detergent into a bucket of warm water. Rub the stain with a soft cloth wet with the solution.
I certainly do. The polish sometimes appear a bit sloppy and translucent when I paint it onto my nails, but sometimes it looks really nice and natural. What is your opinion?
I totally agree..I have to to a thousand layers because it looks translucent, and than it chips so I hafta paint over, and than it looks un-even.

I have always had my nails done and always had the acrylic type as the gel was never offered to me…i have been researching on the internet about the differences between the two and it seems resounding that the gel nails are better for your natural nails. I was wondering how durable the gel nails are though and can you still have them over a tip extension as my natural nails are quite short.
